Invitation to Launching of Nationwide Voters' Registration Drive by NUSP and KABATAAN Partylist

Good day!


The Commission on Elections has estimated around five million first-time-voters for the upcoming 2010 elections. Of this number, the Comelec is set out to target three million new registrants before the deadline for voters’ registration on October 31, 2009. Unfortunately, as of present, around only 800,000 new voters have registered.


In line with this, Kabataan Party-list and the National Union of Students of the Philippines will be launching “Isang Milyon, Isang Panata,” a nationwide voter’s registration campaign targeting 1M new voters across the nation.


This will be launched a day before Ninoy Aquino Day, August 20, 2009.


We would like to invite your student council/organizatio n to attend the launching on Aug 20, 2009 at 10:00am at the T.O.P Room, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila.


Speakers will be Rep. Raymond Palatino of Kabataan Partylist, invited guests and youth personalities and youth performing groups. The highlight of the program would be the launching of a video for the campaign.
